BOO AND KARYN VISIT WOLFSON
After a morning of golf in the first round of the Players Championship Boo Weekley and his wife Karyn visited Wolfson Children's Hospital in downtown Jacksonville. They were welcomed by Mike Aubin, president of Wolfson, and their hosts included Karen Frame of the child life department, along with Jim Hutcheson, board member and social worker at Wolfson. They toured throughout the hospital but the NICU visit may have been the most eye opening. Seeing babies weighing as little as one pound and surviving is truly a miracle from our Lord. Boo and Karyn had their picture made with Mason, a 2 lb. 9 oz. triplet, who is doing well. From the new Weaver tower to the Tebow room, Boo and Karyn were amazed at the size of the hospital and the wonderful work performed at Wolfson.

BASKET EXTRAVAGANZA 2013---TRULY A "GOD THING"
The evening of Friday October 4th was indeed a "God thing". Approximately 300
individuals experienced the presence of our Lord as HE touched lives in a way we could not have dreamed. Many people, including the CEO of RPM Automotive, were touched by the stories of the children and families receiving assistance from Christ's Starfish. A majority of those in attendance had never known the level of support that CSF provides to these families, from paying many of their household bills to even buying underwear for a mother from Tifton, Georgia whose sixteen year old daughter had arrived by ambulance suffering from a brain seizure. Wolfson social worker Jim Hutcheson's story of a big burly man breaking down when he found out an organization he had never heard of was willing to pay several of his bills touched many in attendance. Truly God is at work inside HIS Foundation and HE was present that Friday night.
We cannot thank enough our volunteers, speakers, partners, sponsors, and over 170 donors that made this event possible. Special thanks to First Baptist Church-Downtown Jacksonville and Lewis Turner from First Coast News, our hosts for the evening.
Please join us Friday October 10, 2014 for our Basket Extravaganza 2014.
BOO WEEKLEY WINS!!!!!!! AND SO DOES CHRIST'S STARFISH!!!!

We will use the funds exclusively for our work with the children and their families at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital. Boo and Karyn's kind and generous hearts are making a difference in the lives of many children and families in the Pensacola area. We thank our Lord for bringing Karyn and Boo into our lives.

The items ranged from a NAPA car basket to a Hilton Head vacation. Deals were had all over the room. Three speakers from Wolfson Children's Hospital brought us up to date on the happenings at Wolfson. They included president Mike Aubin, child life specialist manager Pat Kirkland, and social worker Jim Hutcheson. Outstanding job by all three. THANK YOU!! An auction of ten of the items brought a lot of fun and some really happy faces. The happiest of all was the individual who won the $ 500.00 gift basket from Bonefish Grill. WOW!! At Arnold Palmer C.H. in Orlando,we delighted the parents of approximately 120 NICU babies with a bag of first Christmas gifts. At the Children's Hospital in Macon, Georgia, 112 children awoke to huge bags of Christmas goodies, 42 NICU babies.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY--SACRED HEART CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, PENSACOLA
As Channel 3 News reported it was a quiet day at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital on Tuesday July 17th until Rudolph (alias Chick-fil-A Cow), Santa's wife ( Karyn Weekley), and a bunch of their elves showed up. Then things all changed. Karyn (golfer Boo Weekley's wife) along with her many helpers brought about 53 stuffed bags of "Christmas in July' gifts for the children who were in the hospital. Smiles abounded as they made their rounds with the kids. One teenage boy summed it all up when he said, "It feels good to be loved". That was our goal for the day, to share the love of Christ with these hurting children. I think we succeeded.
Please visit our Projects page for more.

2010 - A BLESSED YEAR FOR CHRIST'S STARFISH FOUNDATION
What an incredible year we experienced at Christ's Starfish Foundation. God has truly blessed as we strive to be obedient to to HIS call on our lives. With the support of so many individuals, businesses, and churches we were able to accomplish so much. We were also blessed to receive a $25,000 Quality of Life Grant from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation. MDRT is a premier association of financial professionals.( See article below)
During the year we were able to provide assistance in over 80 cases to 57 families totaling over $30,000.00 of support. The support included approximately $12,000 for Wolfson families, $11,000 for Shands, and $8,000 for Sacred Heart. These projects included assistance with mortgage and rent payments, electric bills, gas cards, hotel bills, cribs and strollers, car rental and repair, and medications.
During the summer, we provided presents to 50 children for a "Christmas in July" project at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. Karyn Weekly, her son Parker, and her mom Patty Hawthorne partnered with us. It was an awesome day!
We provided over 3,000 presents to Wolfson Children's Hospital for 128 children who were in the hospital on Christmas Day. We also provided gifts to seven dialysis patients at their annual Christmas Party held at the Jacksonville Zoo. In addition, we provided over 1,800 presents to 110 children who were in Shands Children's Hospital on Christmas Day. For more information on this inspired work, go to our projects page.
In March, we conducted our first annual golf tournament/dinner/silent auction at Palencia Golf and Country Club. Ninety-one golfers had a great day and the dinner and silent auction were a huge success. This years' tournament will be on March 22nd at Palencia. We hope you will make plans to attend.
A HUGE thank you goes out to all those who supported and worked so hard to make 2010 the foundation's best year ever.

Christ's Starfish Foundation feels extremely blessed to be this years recipient of the highest award granted.
We also provide support to the families of children with non-cancer illnesses. There are two organizations that provide support to the families of children with cancer; Tom Coughlin’s Jay Fund and a child cancer group started by parents of children who have cancer. The hospitalization of a child requires that at least one parent be with them during their stay. This often results in missed work and no pay. Examples of expenses we may help with would include rent or mortgage payments, electric bills, phone bills, gas expense, and food.
